If you're interested in flying I'd suggest stopping by your local airport and asking for an Intro Flight. Generally doesn't cost much and gives you a good feel for what its like to take control of an aircraft.

These days current Sport Pilot students and get their certificate in as little as 20 hrs. Its easier than you think. It took me just under 3 months and was the best decision I've ever made. It can be more affordable than you think.

I did one. Definitely confirmed that one day I want to be a pilot so that I can fly a float plane into my family's cottage and fly down to EAA Airventure.

I could go on all day with tips, but here's a few.

Shop for an instructor you like and are comfortable with.

Study at home as much as you can, there are lots of home study courses.

Be motivated. Don't take long breaks to maintain retention.

Consider starting as Sport Pilot. Basically all the privileges as a Private Pilot with half the hours requirements.

Don't let life get in the way, or you'll end up being old and wishing you were a pilot.

Feel free to message me with any other questions. I'm currently working on becoming a flight instructor and would love to help you out.
